Correction: Membership dues

April 20, 2009

Hello.

Someone from PeaceSmiths accidentally sent out a draft e-mail about membership, instead of the corrected version. The corrected version is at the bottom of this message.

The form that went out via e-mail, in color, has numbers on it that do not match our current dues structure.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Our current dues structure has no set fee for “student”, “senior” or “household.” Apologies, but we cannot honor those amounts, because they do not appear anywhere in our policies or by-laws. Though, there is a “low-income” amount. Please see the coordinator, get a dues sheet at a PeaceSmiths event, or request a dues sheet be mailed to you if you would like that option.

Regular dues are $20.00 for an individual, no matter the age or school status. Each additional member of the household (who is listed and wishes to become a voting member) is $5.00.

The only alternative rate is a lower rate for “low income”, and “more if possible” rates for people who wish to help sustain our work with a larger contribution.

Thank you for your patience. We are a small, non-profit organization doing our best to do the work of peace and justice.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Wilder
interim Coordinator, PeaceSmiths, Inc.
