Feb. 2008 Coffeehouse Photos

As often happens, the featured acts at PeaceSmiths were so mesmerizing, I forgot to take out the cellphone camera. Max Wheat was awesome, as usual. Premik – whom I had never seen perform before – exuded peace and musical charisma. Video will be posted in the next week or so, thanks to wilderside videographer Ian Wilder, and PeaceSmiths Public Access Producer, John Phillips. For now, here are some other fun parts of the evening…

Above: Gary Ivan and Ahmad Ali trade musical secrets.

Above: Frank and Ed. Just a little PeaceSmiths culture.

Above: I got him, too. Ahmad Ali takes my photo.

Above: Chris Garvey. One of a handful of Libertarians who gather around the PeaceSmiths community, having noticed that part of the mission, as defined in the by-laws is: “promoting and protecting the civil rights, civil liberties and well-being of all people regardless of race, color or creed.”

Above: Wendy spins…

Above: The band “Model 21” performs in the open mic. (See the stand-up painting of Susan June Blake on stage. That is by artist Ron Thomson.)
