Dear friends of Jorge and Peacesmiths,
I met Jorge when we both performed at the PeaceSmiths Coffeehouse on May 5, 2007. I was the featured artist and Jorge played a set during the open mike. During the intermission Jorge and I had a wonderful conversation about music and activism. I was very impressed with his enthusiasm and warmth. I was very excited to learn that Jorge had translated “Blowing In The Wind” into Spanish. I’m sorry I never got to see him again nor to play the song with him as we had envisioned. He was a precious person, dear to many. I’m sending all of you my heartfelt sympathy.
    In peace,
    Sharleen Leahey
