Long Island Peace Trains to Sat. April 4th UFPJ March in NYC

PeaceSmiths, Inc. is endorsing the following event.

Saturday, April 4, 2009, with step-off at 12 noon
National March on Wall Street:
Beyond War – A New Economy is Possible!

Carry on Martin Luther King’s vision to replace war, racism and poverty with peace, equality and economic justice.

Fund our communities!

Long Island Peace Trains are groups of people and organizations who will ride in together on the LIRR. There are three choices to hook up with a peace crew:

Huntington LIRR – meet up with CODEPINK and other activists

Please arrive at the station at 9:45 am. Train leaves Huntington at 10:03 a.m. Arrives Penn Station at 11:09 a.m.

When you arrive, purchase Round Trip to Penn and 2 trip Metro Card. Board the train at the last car. This group will head for the Women’s Contingent @ Franklin Street and Lafayette. Huntington/CODEPINK contact: Charlotte Koons ajustpeace at optonline dot net

Stony Brook LIRR Station – meet up with the labor contingent and other activists. Organized by United University Professions (UUP) / Graduate Students Employee Union (GSEU)

Please gather at 8:30am in lot (see below.) Train leaves Stony Brook at 8:51 am.  Arrives at Penn Station at 10:39 am.

Meet at the LIRR lot on the Stony Brook campus opposite the softball and track fields and then crossover to the Stony Brook train station together. This group will head towards the Labor contingent @ Leonard Street. Discounted tickets available at this stop. Ronkonkoma LIRR Station – meet up with the Suffolk Peace Network and other activists

Please arrive at the station at 9:20am. Leaves Ronkonkoma @ 9:40 a.m. Arrives Penn Station @ 10:59 a.m.
