Feds reject Broadwater’s plan for Sound

Broadwater opponents won a major victory Monday when the U.S. Department of Commerce upheld New York’s rejection of the proposed Broadwater liquid natural gas terminal on environmental grounds…—

While PeaceSmiths awaits the next move of the Broadwater people, and the Anti-Broadwater coalition, we are also keeping our eye on stopping the other Liquid Natural Gas terminal/floating barge proposed for Long Island. It is dubbed “Insanity Island” and proposed for Long Beach in Nassau County:


PeaceSmiths, Inc. supports renewable energy such as wind and solar. We oppose nuclear, and we oppose the creation of large-scale projects that pose dramatic threats to the environment.
