*Final Update (and post revised a bit): Whew! The PeaceSmiths magic kicked in, and everything was okay. Ian and I had to go home early. So, we only have the exact report until the end of the poetry at 10pm. Scott MacDonald, as the save-the-day musician, did an awesome set. He brought several instruments – guitar, resonator, ukulele, and wowed the audience. Steve Schmidt filled in with poetry. (Steven Schmidt and Kelly J. Powell will be performing again for us later in the season.) Steven did a great job, and it worked out well, because he has a chapbook coming out from a local press next month. Maggie and Tom Ryan saw the “outcry for help” on the web-site, so Tom came with his guitar and was lined up to do a mini-set later in the evening, with other talented performers who were coming to the rescue. I would say at least 30 folks showed up on a cold day in winter. And, we had a guest come who is in the know about the BAE demo in Greenlawn to do an announcement about that! Pretty good night to brighten the weariness of winter. -KW
