May 1983 letter concerning the anti-Shoreham (anti-nuclear) movement on Long Island

Please see the letter in text underneath the photo. The PeaceSmiths, Inc. archives hold an incredible amount of books, fliers, buttons, and even props about the anti-nuclear struggle in Long Island. One particularly interesting piece is a handmade, styrofoam game with a model of a reactor core. Sorting and supporting the archives is one of PeaceSmiths, Inc. current projects. To make a financial contribution, please see our mailing address on the membership page. To help, please contact Kimberly, the Chair of the Archives Committee at (631) 798-0778 or peacesmiths at yahoo dot com.

From the good old days of the LI anti-nuclear movement

Anti-nuclear button, "Stop Shoreham" from the PeaceSmiths, Inc. archives

1983 Anti-nuclear button, "Stop Shoreham" from the PeaceSmiths, Inc. archives

(This button is somewhat rusty in back. But, it still gets the message across. Found among the archives. It is from an anti-Shoreham demonstration in June 1983, supported by LISN and PeaceSmith House.)
