More about the performers:
George Mann – Folk singer/songwriter ,musician and activist. George is extremely well-known for his original songs as well as all the old folk songs. He has followed the trail of the Almanac singers recently and he has many cds for sale. His new cd is coming out in August. He used to sing with his partner Julius, whom we all dearly miss.
Patti Tana –Local poet who grew up on the Hudson River in Peekskill, New York, and since 1968 she has made her home on Long Island. She is Professor Emerita of English at Nassau Community College (SUNY) and the Associate Editor of the Long Island Quarterly since it was founded in 1990. In 2009 Patti was selected as Poet Of The Year by the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association.Patti is the author of eight books of poetry and is the editor of an anthology of 119 poems by 63 poets.
Ken Krumenacker – LI Folk Singer, writes all his own material. He played a his song about Maine Fisherman at our last open mic.

Attacks on Organized Labor Destruction of the Environment Cost of Health Care For Profit
Student Loan Debt Cuts to Human Services The Encroaching Surveillance State
Corporate Greed & Control of Government And Other Threats to the Well Being of the 99%!!
Event will take place rain or shine.
You may wish to bring drums, kazoos or other musical instruments to help us convey
our message that peace and justice can prevail!
Assemble at 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Rt. 112 (Main St.) and Rt. 25A (blinking light, across from ferry) in Port Jefferson Village. Signs will be supplied, or carry your own.
Program of speakers and music – and the reading of the names of Long Island troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan – will take place at the conclusion of our march.
