Eli Maniscalco will do his guitar stylings and very original songs for the Coffee House. Eli has played the coffee house and venues all over Long Island.

PeaceSmiths Coffeehouse: Friday, March 3rd on Long Island

PeaceSmiths, a Long Island group dedicated to peace, justice, and the environment will host our monthly coffeehouse on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 8pm.

Pete is the lead singer of “Butchers Blind”, a local alternative/Americana/folk rock band
This is Pete’s first appearance at our coffee house

Gary Ivan, singer/songwriter
Gary is also a visual artist and a PeaceSmiths favorite.
He used to design the Coffee House flyers for the mailing back in the day.
Gary hosted several very cool Open Mics in Huntington.

And, while Deer-Spirit-Star, Pramila and Grand Folk Railroad are the only scheduled performers, old PeaceSmithies know there are lots of surprises in store at the Open Mic after the show. We have had modern dance, satirical trios, and the recitation of eloquent manifestos. What can you share?

PeaceSmiths is held at the First United Methodist Church in Amityville. We call it “The last church on the left.”

Address: 25 Broadway Ave, Amityville, NY  (Broadway is actually the southernmost end of RT 110
 near Merrick Road/Montauk Highway.)

PeaceSmiths, Inc., community organizing for peace, justice, and the environment. Please bring literature to share about: Peace, Justice, Environment, Occupy, etc.

PeaceSmiths Coffeehouse happens the first Friday of the month, from October to June !

Deer-Spirit-Star, Singer Songwriter extraordinaire

Pramila Venkateswaran, Poet Laureate of Suffolk County and Professor of English, Women’s Studies, and South Asian Literature at Nassau Community College. She has performed at a number of poetry conferences and festivals in the United States and overseas. Pramila has several books of poetry.

Grand Folk Railroad, Singer Songwriters and Musicians – Mike Christian, on lead guitar, bass, and drums; Susan Cohen, guitar, flute, banjo, and uke; Bill Resvanis, percussion; Frank Doris, lead guitar,bass, and melodica.
